Travel back to a stage in time with me to rekindle the memories of food franchises and the lost cuisine of bygone days. We can remember the presence of these dining experiences in their heyday long ago, but still etched in moments and recollections.

    Description
VIP's was a defunct casual dining restaurant chain in that operated from 1968 until the late 1980s, based in Salem, Oregon. With more than 50 locations, it was once the largest restaurant chain based in Oregon. The first VIP's Restaurant was opened in 1968, in Tualatin, Oregon, next to an Interstate 5. Most of the eateries were placed near freeways and were open 24 hours and eventually had locations in five states: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and northern California. In 1984, VIP's sold 16 restaurants to JB's Restaurants, of Salt Lake City and that left the company with just nine restaurants. By 1989, the last VIP's Restaurants had been sold, and the company had branched out into the hotel business and rebranded Renamed VIP's Industries Inc.
