    Description
    Rio Bravo Cantina was a Tex-Mex style Mexican restaurant serving the southern United States and Michigan from its opening in 1985 until its closure in 2004. The Rio Bravo opened for business in Atlanta, Georgia, in Atlanta in May 1985 and the idea of Ray Schoenbaum in conjunction with Innovative Restaurant Concepts Inc. In 1994, Applebee's purchased Innovative Restaurant Concepts for $66 and on February 11, 1999, Applebee's sold the Rio Bravo concept to Chevys Fresh Mex and after Chevy's purchase the menus between both chains were combined. On November 6, 2014, it was confirmed that the Rio Bravo concept was set to return to the Atlanta metropolitan area in 2015 and February 15, 2017, Ray's Rio Bravo permanently closed.
