    Bayard, Florida

    Description
Horne's was positioned mostly in the Southeast and Southern United States along major highways and rapidly expanded to over 60 locations, and only one original restaurant remains. Most of Horne's restaurants were open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and featured family dining the origins began as a hotel operated by Bob Horne and his family, who decided to delve into the food business. In 1964, The Greyhound Corporation purchased all the assets for $14,000,000 with the hopes for expansion but eventually with less travel to those locations proved to be losing money and to date, only one restaurant remains in Port Royal, Virginia.
