Description
1946 was an exciting year for brothers Roy and Key Furr when they presented their premier restaurant in New Mexico and the following year in yet Odessa, Texas. It featured a wide selection of buffet items and found success which was also called Furr's Family Dining, Furr's Fresh Buffet, and Furr's All-You-Can-Eat Marketplace. Eventually selling to the Kmart Corp. in 1980 and later to Michael Levenson's Limited National Partnership in 1988. With further attempts to revive the name with rebranding in 2000, it slowly chose to begin closing locations until the last one ceased operation in 2021.

Travel back to a stage in time with me to rekindle the memories of food franchises and the lost cuisine of bygone days. We can remember the presence of these dining experiences in their heyday long ago, but still etched in moments and recollections.
