    Description
The initial restaurant of this type was introduced in this area by Clarence Hayman in 1918 and eventually flourished to areas in other cities nationwide. He had already the experience from overseeing other participations in the food service industry prior to this venture. After opening more locations, he decided to elect Clem Templin as vice president of the company and the expansions continued to grow. Some images that set this chain apart was the style of interior using materials of stone, galls and tile into the design. A small part in the downfall of the first restaurants was like others of the times as it could not compete with the overwhelming instruction of fast food franchises.
