Description
The first Don Pablo's was available to the public in Lubbock, Texas, in 1985 with a variety of Mexican dishes and would eventually open more stores in other states as well. At the time it was one of a few large chains of this type and only shadowed with the number one spot awarded to Chi-Chi's. 2008 was the year that 41 of the stores were purchased by the Rita Restaurant Corporation and again resold to San Antonio-based Food Management Partners in 2014. In later years the company decided to downsize until 2018 when only a handful remained until the final location closed the door in 2019 in Deptford Township, New Jersey.

Cruising through many states of America, remnants of eateries of the past can still be found. Travel back to a stage in time with me to rekindle the memories of food franchises and the lost cuisine of bygone days. We can remember the presence of these dining experiences in their heyday long ago, but still etched in moments and recollections.
