Travel back to a stage in time with me to rekindle the memories of food franchises and the lost cuisine of bygone days.     Description
    Briazz was founded by Victor Alhadeff, a former first lieutenant in the U.S. Army and managed other companies before Briazz. The name a compilation of the Italian word for vivacity and the English word "jazz" and highlighted fresh sandwiches and salads that were prepackaged and arranged supermarket-style in a refrigerated case. Locations included 45 cafés and kiosks offering these sandwiches and salads in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago. In June, 2004, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and in April, 2005, Organic To Go succeeded in winning the bid at auction to buy most of the company tangible-assets for $1.35 million.
